Statutory Meeting

The Statutory Meeting is usually the first meeting of Public Company.It can be held and call by the directors of the Company and it is held at least one time in the lifetime of the Company.The basic Purpose of this meeting is to gather Company’s members and discuss their plans ,goals, expectations and directions towards company .To achieve such goals and plans tha law has provided some rules and regulations related to Statutory Meeting.

Relevant Provisions:

Section 131 and 133 of the Companies Act,2017 deals with Statutory Report.

According to Section 131 of Companies Act 2017 :

Every public company having the share capital shall,within 180 days or mine months of the incorporation,hold a meeting of members which is called statutory Meeting.
